The First Step
Scheduling a Consultation
Your journey begins with a personalized consultation. This session is an essential step where we discuss your goals, answer your questions, and plan your procedure. We’ll work closely with you to determine the ideal size, shape, and color of your new areolas, ensuring they harmonize beautifully with your natural skin tone.

The Tattooing Appointment
On the day of your procedure, our skilled tattoo artist will ensure your comfort by applying a numbing cream before beginning the tattooing process. The procedure itself is generally quick, taking about 1 to 1.5 hours per session. Depending on your needs, one or two sessions may be required, spaced about six weeks apart. Our technique is designed to create a realistic 3D effect, making the tattoo appear like a natural nipple and areola, even though the skin is flat to the touch.
Final Steps:
Once the tattooing is complete, we will apply a waterproof Tegaderm™ dressing to protect the area. This dressing should remain in place for the first three days to support the initial healing process.
Post-Session Recovery and Care
Caring for your new areola tattoo properly is crucial to achieving the best possible outcome. Here’s a detailed guide to help you navigate the recovery process:
Day 1-3
Keep the Tegaderm™ dressing on for three days. This dressing is waterproof, so you can shower normally without worrying about damaging the tattoo. It’s common to see some fluid buildup under the dressing; this is a normal part of the healing process. If the dressing begins to peel or leak, simply cover it with another Tegaderm™ dressing.
Day 4
After removing the dressing, gently clean the area with warm water and mild, unscented soap. Avoid scrubbing or rubbing the tattooed area, as this can disrupt the healing process. Pat the area dry with a clean towel and apply a non-scented white lotion, such as Lubriderm®, Aveeno®, or Eucerin®, to keep the skin moisturized and support healing
Day 5-14
Continue applying lotion to the area daily. If the skin feels dry, you may need to apply lotion more frequently. It’s essential to avoid soaking in baths, swimming, or exposing the tattoo to excessive moisture during this time to prevent any complications
Long-Term Care:
Initially, your tattoo may appear darker than expected, but this is normal. Over the next few weeks, the color will settle into its final shade. With proper care, your areola tattoo will remain vibrant for several years, although some natural fading may occur over time. If necessary, touch-up sessions can be scheduled to maintain the desired appearance.
